Engineers / Producers

Louie Shelton
Over the past several decades you would have heard Louie Shelton's signature guitar riffs and solos on more hit records than any other session guitarist in history. While there are too many to mention, some of his classics include, Boz Scaggs' "Low Down", Lionel Richie's "Hello", Neil Diamond's "Play Me", The Jackson Five's "I Want You Back", "ABC" and "I'll Be There, The Monkees' "Last Train To Clarksville"
and "Valerie". Some of the other artists Louie recorded with include John Lennon, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, The Carpenters, Joe Cocker, Kenny Rodgers, The Mamas & Papas, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald and many others.
While his guitar is still close at hand, Louie has recently focused his attention to producing and artist development right here on the Gold Coast. If you want to read on (believe me there is plenty to read) then check his Bio on his personal website: www.louieshelton.com

Anthony Lycenko
Anthony, 2008 ARIA award nominee for best engineer, started his career at London’s famed Mayfair Studios in the early 1990’s at the height of Brit Pop. During that time he worked with some of the worlds most respected engineers (Mark “Spike” Stent, Randy Staub and Dave Bascombe), producers (Chris Potter, Geoff Emerick and Steve Osbourne) and artists, including, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Suede, U2, and The Pet Shop Boys. Upon returning to Australia he has accumulated a formidable discography, making records for artists as diverse
as Pete Murray, George, The Beautiful Girls, H-Foundation, Shifter and Xavier Rudd. Currently based in Byron Bay, Anthony would be a welcome addition to any studio project and an easy choice to record, mix or produce your next album.
Jake Walsh
Jake Walsh learned his craft working along side many of Australia’s notable recording engineer/producers. His skills and proficiency in the studio mean the recording and mixing process is a simple yet creative one. As Recording Oasis’ house engineer, most of the bands and artists that come to Oasis will have the pleasure of working along side Jake. His attention to detail and great ears mean you’re in safe hands.
Roberto Merlini
Robert has 25 years experience in the music industry. Working with world renowned artists and local and international production for clients such as EMI, Channel 9, Mushroom music, MTV, Gateway Entertainment Group NYC and Ocean Way Studios LA. Roberto Merlini has had a long-standing affiliation with studio producers such as Mark Optiz, who in his early days guided and trained him. Rob has had experience in nearly all genres across all mediums and is a great choice for future production.
Alex Markwell
Alex Markwell is not the average music producer/engineer; his work is highly commended, just listen to the proof. Alex has worked along side Jim Abbiss and Barney both men who need little introduction. Alex is an accomplished musician/songwriter and engineer who is instrumental in the development of upcoming bands to a professional level. Alex has a great sense of humour and is a constant reminder of how the production process should be enjoyed.
James Boundy
James contributed to the initial setup of Recording Oasis and since bringing the first project to the studio (The Papers Scissors' widely acclaimed 'Less Talk, More Paper Scissors') has been a regular at the studio with bands such as The Bird and Red Bantoo. Based in Byron Bay, James has been working with a diverse range of bands and genres locally and nationally as well as from acts from Japan and the US. Well versed in both studio recording/mixing and live recording, James' reputation for enhancing the creative environment as well as pulling great sounds make him a valuable addition to any project in either an engineering or production capacity. www.sonicartistry.com.au

producer/engineer for many years. Rob had a short stint at Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas before relocating to Australia where he currently resides.
Rob is a master of his craft and a pleasure to have around Oasis. His credits
are extensive and would be an enormous asset to any project. Check out Rob's
